Travel in first class comfort from Mount Barker to Goolwa as part of our regular steam-hauled Southern Encounter service. Sit back and enjoy the plush compartment seating in our 1930’s built art-deco carriage and partake in morning tea, as the scenery of the Southern Mount Lofty Ranges slips past your carriage window.
At Goolwa take a stroll to the nearby Goolwa Hotel for a three course luncheon. After lunch passengers head back to the wharf where they will board the historic wood-fired paddle steamer PS Oscar W for a one-hour cruise of the lower lakes.
After lunch, enjoy a short time wandering through Goolwa, or perhaps visiting the Signal Point or the Fleurieu Distillery & Steam Exchange Brewery near the Goolwa Station, before re-joining the Southern Encounter for the climb back up the ranges to Mount Barker.
